For our test shoot we decided to use the two main cast members in a selection of different scenes, in the bedroom scene, party/living room scene and at the park. From this we could look at the lighting for each location in order to engage whether we needed to make changes, it also gave us an opportunity to test out how we would edit each scene. In the bedroom scene the test shoot enabled us to work out where to position the camera for the real shoot, we placed a yellow colouration on this scene in order to show it was day time and to portray a juxtaposition from the following scenes which would be at night. When we filmed the living room scene it was clear that the lighting would need to be much brighter than in the test shoot, we placed a pink colouration on this scene to reflect the youth feel we wanted. The park scenes proved that we would have to time the shoot for this at around 17:00 in order to get the right amount of light in shot. To give a feel of night time we then placed a blue colouration on this scene. Overall the test shoot provided a platform to try out different lighting, editing techniques and camera positions in order to make the final shoot run as smoothly as possible.
